Google’s question panel was blocked by a captcha on the research day, so the wording comes from the pages themselves.

Is The Halloween Man a movie?
No confirmed film adaptation was found in the public records reviewed. The name covers a 1998 novel, a comic, a cologne and a 2026 Commodore 64 game.
Is it a game?
Yes. ready64’s itch page lists a free Commodore 64 maze and a publication timestamp of 28 October 2026.
Is it free?
Yes. The itch minimum price is zero, and the download does not require an account.
What files do I get?
A .prg of 22,542 bytes, a .d64 around 170 kB, a .tap around 922 kB, plus a readme and a source zip.
Can I play it online?
No official browser version was on the itch page. The only frame is the trailer.
How many stars per level?
The developer’s public source counts 231, 247, 249, 253 and 267, including four power stars. No independent count was found in the sources reviewed.
How do I control it?
Joystick port 2, or W A S D, or the cursor keys. RETURN continues. Y and N answer the replay prompt.
What are the monsters?
Witch, Vampire, Werewolf and Pumpkin Ghost. The panel shortens the last name to GHOST.
What does a power star do?
It turns the monsters blue. Eating them in a chain scores 200, then 400, then 800, then 1600.
How long is a full clear?
No clear time was found in the sources reviewed. We leave that number blank.
Does it run on NTSC?
The readme says it is made for a PAL Commodore 64 and was tested in a PAL emulator. Use a PAL model.
Is it the Steam game Halloween: The Game?
No. That is IllFonic’s 1-versus-4 game, digitally released 8 September 2026. Its US standard-edition price was $39.99 on 30 October 2026; other regions and editions differ.
