Privacy policy

This policy matches the scripts on the site as of 30 October 2026. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load by default; the cookie banner tells you so, and Reject turns all three off for 180 days. The contact address is [email protected].

Who is responsible

The operator of thehalloweenman.net is the controller for this guide. Email [email protected]. No company registration number or street address is stated here, because this page will not invent one.

What loads, and when

These are static files from this domain. The page itself sets no login and asks for no account. On the first view the site loads three third parties without waiting for a click: Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-4CYH9XEJB7), Microsoft Clarity (project z5orl63q6d) and Adsterra (publisher 3403020, website 6161809, units 31998164 and 31998165). This is a default-on loading policy as checked on 30 October 2026; the banner offers notice and an opt-out. It does not wait for prior opt-in.

Pressing Reject stores a refusal in thm_consent, denies Google analytics and advertising signals, and reloads this page to stop vendor code already running. On that reload and subsequent visits, none of the three vendor scripts is requested. Reject is remembered for 180 days. Accept records a grant for the same period. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track set to 1 disables these integrations from the start. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner. The initial Google Consent Mode defaults are analytics storage granted, all three advertising signals denied, and ads data redaction enabled; advertising signals change to granted only after an explicit Accept.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 loads from www.googletagmanager.com and sends measurement requests to Google Analytics domains including www.google-analytics.com. It can process page URLs, referrers, browser and device information and interactions. Google's documentation lists _ga and stream-specific _ga_* first-party cookies with a default lifetime of two years. That describes vendor defaults, not a claim that every browser receives these cookies. Reject disables the measurement ID before reload and prevents the tag from loading thereafter; merely denying storage can otherwise allow cookieless pings.

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session recordings. The loader uses www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms, and regional collection hosts under *.clarity.ms. Clarity's documentation lists first-party _clck (one year) and _clsk (one day); other Microsoft cookies can depend on browser settings and cross-site requests. These are vendor-documented possibilities, not an inventory of cookies observed on your device. Reject removes the loader and reloads the page with Clarity disabled. Browser controls can remove cookies already stored; this site does not clear your browser profile.

Adsterra

Adsterra serves the Native Banner above the footer and the Social Bar fixed at the bottom edge. The publisher id is 3403020, the website id is 6161809, and the two units are 31998164 (Native Banner) and 31998165 (Social Bar). Adult ads are off. The site does not load a popunder, a banner network or a smartlink.

Both configured Adsterra placements request scripts from bicea.org. Advertising can process IP address, browser information and interactions, and may use identifiers or frequency controls. A delivery request does not prove that a creative or a particular cookie was received. We do not publish guessed cookie names or lifetimes. The third-party host inventory in this policy reflects the current local-build network check; ad delivery may vary by location and availability. Reject prevents both placement requests on the reloaded page. The Social Bar's separate Hide ad bar button stores thm_social_closed for 180 days; hiding the bar alone does not disable analytics or the Native Banner.

You can limit personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, the NAI opt-out, Your Online Choices and the DAA choices page. These are industry opt-outs, not a switch on this site; the site's own Reject button is the switch here. We do not sell personal information.

YouTube trailer

The Ready64 trailer uses a local poster and a click-to-load YouTube frame in privacy-enhanced mode. The initial page makes no YouTube player request. Pressing play requests www.youtube-nocookie.com; the player can then request Google/YouTube media and image services, such as googlevideo.com and ytimg.com. Playback is an explicit request separate from the analytics/ads choice. Google explains that privacy-enhanced mode limits use of embedded views for personalisation; it is not a promise of anonymous playback or of zero storage after interaction. The frame needs no microphone permission.

Legal basis, rights, and changes

Serving the guide is our legitimate interest in publishing cited game information. Analytics, session recording and advertising load by default as described above. Accept and Reject record your preference; Reject stops future integration loading after the immediate page reload. Previously transmitted information cannot be recalled by removing a script. You can email us to ask what this inbox holds about you, to correct a sentence on a page, or to object. Deleting site data in your browser removes thm_consent and thm_social_closed; we have no account file to erase. You can complain to the supervisory authority where you live. The date at the top of this page is the date the policy was checked. A new third-party script would be named here before it is treated as normal. Alias URLs /privacy-policy/, /cookie-policy/ and /cookies/ redirect to this page.

Questions

Do you run ads?

Yes. Adsterra serves a Native Banner (unit 31998164) above the footer and a Social Bar (unit 31998165) fixed at the bottom edge. Adult ads are switched off. There is no popunder, no banner network and no smartlink on this site.

How do I change my choice?

Use Cookie settings in the footer. Reject stores that refusal for 180 days and reloads the page with Google Analytics 4, Clarity and Adsterra disabled. Accept loads all three again for the same period.
