What is The Halloween Man? Four different things
No confirmed film adaptation was found in the public records reviewed on 30 October 2026. The name covers a 1998 novel by Douglas Clegg, a comic series by Drew Edwards, a cologne line, and a free Commodore 64 game listed on itch on 28 October 2026.
The 1998 novel
Open Library and Goodreads identify Douglas Clegg’s 1998 Leisure Books novel. Page counts disagree even for matching ISBNs: Open Library gives 360 pages for the original, Goodreads 368. The Alkemara records also disagree over year and length; The book page keeps the editions apart.
The comic
The comic’s official about page dates its debut to 31 October 2000 (one source for the exact day). Solomon Hitch is a ghoul in Solar City, Texas, alongside Dr Lucy Chaplin. GlobalComix hosts digital releases, including the 2026 Devil’s Night issue. The comic’s own site is halloweenman.net, one word away from this domain. The comic page points at that site, at a free 2026 issue, and at the 2027 print plans from IPI Comics.
The cologne
Halloween Man is a 2012 men’s eau de toilette from the Halloween fragrance line, once tied to Jesus Del Pozo. The product name drops the word “the”, which is why it appears beside this query. The cologne page explains the mix-up. It does not rank bottles or tell you what to buy.
The 2026 Commodore 64 game
The itch page lists a free Commodore 64 maze and gives 28 October 2026 at 08:44 UTC as its publication timestamp. The developer readme supplies PAL targeting, ten mazes and five layouts (single source). Files are .prg, .d64 and .tap. That is the work this site walks through. A different game with a close name
Halloween: The Game, from IllFonic, shipped on 8 September 2026 for Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The US standard edition was $39.99 at the 30 October check; region and edition matter. It is a 1-versus-4 horror game, not a Commodore 64 maze. The comparison page puts the two releases in one table.
Questions
Is The Halloween Man a movie?
No confirmed adaptation was found in the public records reviewed on 30 October 2026. That limited finding does not rule out an unrelated same-name film.
Is it a game?
One of the four is a game: ready64’s free Commodore 64 maze, published on itch.io on 28 October 2026 (08:44 UTC, according to itch). The author does not claim it adapts the book or the comic.
Who is the Halloween Man?
In the comic he is Solomon Hitch. The novel is Douglas Clegg’s horror story set in Stonehaven. In the game you play the pumpkin wizard. The cologne is a product name, not a character.
Which one is this site about?
The 2026 Commodore 64 game. The other three pages exist so a search for the shared name does not dump you into the wrong work.
