thehalloweenman.net is an independent guide to the free Commodore 64 game THE HALLOWEEN MAN, plus short pages that separate that game from a novel, a comic and a cologne that share the name.
Why the site exists
On 30 October 2026 the itch page was a file list and a short description. PDRoms had a news item. CSDb had a cracked copy. None of those pages walked through the controls, the file formats, or the four-way name collision. This guide fills that gap with public sources and a date on every page.
How a fact gets onto a page
Two independent sources have to agree before a number is presented as cross-verified; single-source details are explicitly attributed. The readme, the source zip and the screenshots all come from ready64, so they count as one author’s desk. An independently maintained catalogue can be a second source, but copied text or a syndicated press release is not independent confirmation. If they disagree, both versions stay. If nobody published a number, the cell stays empty. Clear time is the current example of an empty cell.
